Curated by Sai Ntxhais Vang, photographer and visual art coordinator at Hmong Arts Connection, this is an introspective show of emerging Hmong artists as they reclaim, reinterpret, reinvent, and rejuvenate the traditional to the contemporary by learning from their elders.

Hmong arts activities each week in July at Homewood Gallery
The following events will be taking place throughout the month of July at Homewood Gallery:
• Opening Reception: July 4 / 6pm - 9pm
• Ka Vang, Hmong playwright, fiction writer and poet, will be reading her short stories that were included in two best selling anthologies Riding Shotgun: Women Write About Their Mother and Haunted Hearths and Sapphic Shades: Lesbian Ghost Stories. The event will also feature readings by local author, Shannon Olson, and be hosted by actress, Katie Ka Vang: July 19 / 6:30pm – 9pm
• Closing Reception: July 25 / 6pm – 9pm
• Paj ntaub (pa dow, Hmong needlework) workshop with paj ntaub artist Yer Yang during the Northside Art Flow: July 26 / 4pm – 8pm
